Use the uploaded photo as the only reference. A full-body photo works best. Make one photograph of the subject as a traditional shadow-play leather puppet standing against a backlit cotton screen. Leave clear margin on all four sides of the puppet.

SUBJECT
Keep the same person or animal, preserving the hair shape and length, glasses, hat, clothing cut, anything held in the hands, and the exact action and pose. Make any object held in the hands from the same leather as the puppet.

For a person, build a side-view puppet. If the photo is frontal, turn the body to the side while keeping the hair and outfit recognizable. For an animal, do not change its species or put human clothes on it. Translate its ear shape, nose and mouth, tail, and fur-color markings into sections of dyed leather.

MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION
Use thin, shaved, dyed, translucent leather. Light from behind must pass through the leather so its color shows through. Give the cuts a hand-knife edge with a faint tremble. Add openwork holes punched with the knife tip so light passes through, arranged in alternating sparse and dense patches within the clothes and body. Make a flat, jointed puppet with visible round rivets at the neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, and knees. Attach thin wooden control rods to the head and arms, extending down below the puppet. Use the clothing or fur colors from the photo first, with iron red, amber, and ink black as supporting colors.

FRAME AND LIGHTING
Create one tall, vertical image containing only the puppet, centered with margin on every side. The background is a yellowed cotton screen lit from behind. Show the cloth's weave, with the light darkening toward the edges. Where the puppet touches the cloth, make its edge sharp; where it lifts away, let its shadow spread softly. The result must look like a photograph taken from behind the stage, not a smooth 3D render.

FAILURE CONDITIONS
Any visible text anywhere in the image is a failure, including letters, Hangul, Chinese characters, numbers, logos, signatures, and watermarks. Do not add a puppet that was not in the photo. If the photo contains two people, depict both, once each. Do not paste the original photo alongside the result. The leather must not look flat like paper; light must pass through it. At least one joint rivet must be visible. Do not put human clothes on an animal. Do not create extra limbs or fused limbs. Do not add a border or frame around the image.
