Use the attached reference photo. It must show one photo with a single clear subject.
Remake the photo as a thick wool knit sweater. The result must be a single vertical photo of one sweater laid flat on a wooden floor, shot straight down from above.
## What carries over
Knit the scene from the photo into the sweater’s front panel as a jacquard pattern. Keep the same number of subjects, their poses, the direction their bodies face, and the placement of each color as in the photo.
Scale the subject so it fills more than half the height of the front panel, and simplify the background into two or three blocks of color. Any item shown attached to the subject in the photo—such as a leash, harness, basket, saddle, or collar—must remain as at least one block of color. Do not add anything that is not in the photo.
## What makes it read as knitted
Every color edge must step in stitch-sized increments. Curves must be rendered only as staircases. Individual V-shaped stitches must be visible across the front panel, with more than forty countable stitches across its width.
Show yarn fuzz and twist. Where colors change, the floats should pull the fabric slightly unevenly.
The hem and cuffs must have 2x2 ribbing, and the neck must be a ribbed crewneck. Show both sleeves, spread naturally out to the sides of the body.
Use no more than six yarn colors drawn from the photo. Light and dark shades of one color count as one color. Do not use neon or metallic yarn.
Use a single soft daylight source from a window. The knit must be thick enough to cast a shallow shadow around the sweater’s outline.
## Frame
The sweater must fill 80–90 percent of the frame, with all four edges fully visible. Use one vertical photo. The floor must be pale matte wood, with nothing else placed on it.
## Failure conditions
The image fails if it contains any letter, number, brand mark, or size tag.
The image fails if smooth photographic pixels survive across more than one tenth of the front panel, if fewer than forty countable stitches are visible across its width, or if the pattern looks mushed or printed.
The image fails if the yarn uses seven or more color families, or if the number of subjects differs from the reference photo.
The image fails if it shows more than one sweater, a sweater worn by a person, a sweater on a hanger, or the source photo next to the sweater.
The pattern must spread across the whole front panel, not be confined to a small square in the middle of the chest.
## If the scene will not fit
Simplify background detail into flat color blocks and knit the subject larger. Do not shrink the stitches to preserve detail; that makes the result look printed.
