Sauna_snapshot (image)

A spontaneous snapshot taken inside a warm wooden sauna, looks like someone caught her mid-thought as she sat quietly. A young Japanese woman in her early 20s sits sideways on a smooth wooden bench, one leg tucked under her, the other bent with her foot flat on the bench. Her arm is resting on her raised knee, her hand hanging loosely, fingers slightly curled. Her other hand is tucked under her chin, her palm supporting her jaw as if she was resting her head but got interrupted. Her gaze is slightly unfocused, looking past the camera rather than at it, caught between thoughts. A strand of damp hair has escaped her towel and is sticking to her neck. The steam swirls around her, and a droplet of condensation hangs from the wooden ceiling. The photo is slightly overexposed on her shoulder where the light hits, a bit of motion blur on her hand shifting from under her chin, heavy grain, soft focus on the background. Natural skin with visible pores, slight redness from the heat, a tiny mole near her jawline, no beauty filter. A stray cat is mostly out of frame, only its tail curling around the sauna door at the bottom right corner. Dutch angle from the left, 9:16
